Lupus and Symptom Tracking: NEW LUPUS HEALTH APP! Meet me on Zoom to learn more about the KnowYourMeds new lupus app.

Want to join me on a zoom tomorrow?

I've been working with KnowYourMeds (KYM), a digital health assistant company, for the past six months, helping them with the launch of their brand new lupus health and wellness app. That's right - a dedicated health app designed specifically to the management of our very own chronic illness. How awesome is that!

I've highlighted KYM before, and you can read about that here. But this brand new launch brings a whole different level of detail that specifically tackles the management of a chronic illness like lupus. There's a lupus symptom tracker that includes the laundry list of symptoms we've come to know (and hate!), medication reminders that won't let you forget your pills, a food tracking component that has been INCREDIBLY helpful as I've tried to pinpoint the source of a reaction to some foods, and tracking capabilities to log my nighttime sleep, my daily nap, and other lifestyle factors that I know impact my disease activity. There are lupus specific tips, strategies and articles, exercise videos, and get this - access to a pharmacist, nutritionist, and a certified personal trainer (who is a lupus expert herself) via the Chat function on the app. You even get two mini private consultations with each a nutritionist and the personal trainer.  Add the 30-day risk free trial they're offering right now, and those sessions alone are worth the $24.99 for three months (make that four, including the 30 days free). You can even find me within the app - as a lupus patient peer willing to answer questions or share my experiences of more than 20 years with lupus!

We're doing Info and Q&A Sessions all week, and the next one is tomorrow, Saturday, April 30th, at 9:00am EST via zoom. If you're currently tracking symptoms (possibly via my trusty Chronic Control excel spreadsheet which you can read about here and here), looking for ways to start or better manage disease activity, or want to up your activity or tackle a nutrition plan, but not sure how to do it safely with lupus, this may be your ticket.

On the zoom, I'll be doing a short run down of how I've used the app to manage different aspects of the disease, and we had some great questions and discussions earlier this week. I look forward to hearing from more of you tomorrow!
