New Hampshire Walk for Lupus - Check out what the Lupus Foundation of New England is up to now!
Because 5% of every single pillbag sold goes to charity, we are always on the lookout for great lupus organizations to support here at SGP headquarters. We believe we've found one in the Lupus Foundation of
New England!
We have collaborated with the Lupus Foundation of NE, headquartered in Framingham, MA, on several occassions, and I enjoyed a great reception when I spoke at one of their well-attended events a couple of years ago. What a reach they have throughout New England!
I was recently contacted by one of their New Hampshire Ambassadors, Kristen, to let me know of their upcoming NH Walk for Lupus, and to remind me of the Foundations's unrelenting quest to spread awareness and raise funds for lupus. Kristen has personally embraced this mission, and will be walking alongside others in support of lupus on October 1st, 2016.

Below you can find additionl info about the upcoming event, and know that all donations from Pillbag sales now through the first of October will go to the Lupus Foundaton of New England. Kristen made a convincing case to have the Foundation join us as a Pillbag Charity of the Month Club!

Join us for the New Hampshire Walk for Lupus to Support our fight against Lupus. The New Hampshire Walk for Lupus is a family-friendly event that raises funds to support the programs and services of the Lupus Foundation New England. The walk takes place on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Veteran's Memorial Park, 889 Elm Steet, Manchester, NH.
Walk Facts
1. Walk Day is on Saturday, October 1, 2016. Check-in begins at 9 AM, Walk begins at 10 AM
2. The Walk Route is approximately 3 miles and is handicap accessible. You do not need to walk the entire route; feel free to stop anytime or hang out with us and enjoy yourself.
3. Dogs and strollers are allowed along the Walk Route - the more the merrier! Snacks (for walkers, not the dogs) will also be available.

Can't make it to the walk, much less to the great state of New Hampshire? You can still support the cause by donating to the Lupus Foundation of New England here. In the informtion that my contact sent over, I found it particularly interesting that this NH walk is designed to help raise funds and awareness for an unspecified number of New Hampshire lupus patients, families, and caregivers who suffer from lupus, due to the fact that there is no current State data collection on Autoimmune Diseases. Not many know about SLE or have ever even heard about Lupus! Have a great long weekend, and thanks for considering to support the cause! |
